The Second Book and Updates to the Site

Book Two of The Hunter’s Tale Trilogy is out now! It’s available in a number of places, many of them listed on the Buy Page of the Tales site.

But the real release party will be November 5th at the Las Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival. I’ll be there with both books and some new swag! So I hope you can find some time to come out.

It’s being held at the library near Maryland and Flamingo between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm. And it’s totally free!

So I hope you’ll join me and maybe pick up a book or maybe even two…

But I’d also like to take a moment and let everyone know that I’ve made some changes to the site. First of all I’ve moved around some stuff and added a section called ‘Words‘ which is split into Before the Veil and Behind the Veil. I did this to make a little more room for more stories that I’d like to post and for other print items. Not just the books…

I’m working on a comic again, but this time I’m planning on it being print! So, keep an eye out for more on that as the time comes for the first official Hunter Comic’s release in the next six months or so.

I’m also planning on releasing another free short story titled ‘My Name is Mari’, which will explore the villain of Book Two. I’d like that out before the holidays and am in the process of drafting it out.

Finally, I’ll be adding the Susi Speaks blog posts to the ‘Behind the Veil’ section so that people know where to look to find all the little nuggets of information I’ve dropped in the lore section of this site.

So, I guess what I’m saying is, be on the look out. Because Tales From the Universe is going to start ramping up!

And a Happy New Year!

Hello everyone! How has everyone’s year been so far? Good? Good. I’ve had this post half written since the middle of January, but it didn’t seem right to post until now!

Anyway, 2015 brought it’s fair share of amazing. Aside from some personal and professional triumphs that I don’t think I need to go into here I finally saw my childhood dream come true and it was amazing!

It was a long road to get here, but I now have an actual book out that I can hold in my hands! And, more than that, people who have read it have enjoyed it!

However, I think that the thing I mark most as a success from the previous year was a little piece of paper that showed up in my mail a few days ago. I was cut a check from Barnes and Noble for my last appearance of the year in 2015. It wasn’t a lot of money, but getting a check from a real brick and mortar book store really made the fact that I’ve written a book that people enjoy sink in.

(Insert Shameless ‘rate my Book on Amazon if you’ve read it’ here, and a thanks to those who have!)
